· Aspiration
pneumonitis is commonly seen in the apical BPS of right lower lobe, if the
patient is in supine posture.
· If
the patient has aspirated while sitting/standing the aspirate is found in the
posterior basal BPS of right lower lobe.
· Aspiration
is seen in the posterior BPS of right upper lobe if the patient was immobilized
in right lateral position.
If
the patient has aspirated, while in left lateral position, the aspirate may be
seen in the lower lobe of left lung
