Syphilitic rhagades MCQ | MDS entrance preaparations


“Syphilitic rhagades” near the angle of the mouth are found in:

a. Primary syphilis 
b. Secondary syphilis
c. Tertiary syphilis 
d. Congenital syphilis

Ans. D: Syphilitic rhagades are linear lesions found around the oral or anal orifice. They result from diffuse syphilitic involvement of skin.  They are seen in congenital syphilis and 3 to 7 week after birth.
