Oral ulcerations with pharyngitis, tonsillitis and cervical lymphadenopathy

Oral ulcerations with pharyngitis, tonsillitis and cervical lymphadenopathy are found in :

a. Cytomegalovirus infection 
b. Infectious monoucleosis
c. Reiter’s disease 
d. Burkitt’s lymphoma


Ans. B: Infectious mononucleosis is characterized by sore throat accompanied by fever.  Enlarged palatine tonsils, pharyngo-tonsillitis, splenomegaly and lymphadenopathy are the common presenting sign of disease.
